Coaching question

A couple readers emailed me about the idea of former quarterbacks coach Carl Smith returning to USC. First, there are no vacancies other than a graduate-assistant position. Second, Smith is currently retired after being fired by the Jacksonville Jaguars following the 2006 season. Third, there does not seem to be any interest in bringing him back to USC from anyone I've spoken to about it.
