With USC's lack of frontcourt depth, does it make sense for the Trojans to sign two point guards (Donte Smith, Romeo Miller) next season? Of course, we already know the answer to this question.

SC basketball is where it always is, a distant step child of the football program. This one and done crap is for the birds as SC cannot recruit the players that UNC and Duke or even ucla can to replenish the team. Floyd needs to get kids who can play and will stay for more than a year, the Mayo experiment was a HUGE BUST !

YES! We desperately need frontcourt help, but we might even need a PG more! Think about it, we'll have Cunningham, Diarra, and DeMar to add to the frontcourt next year, in addition to other recruits, to go along with Taj, D-Jeff and Keith (none of whom are ready for the NBA). Our best teams, and the best teams in the nation, are almost always lead by a stud, penetration, dishing, good Assist/TO, defense hound PG. How good is UCLA w/out Collison? Some of SC's best offensive teams had good natural PGs... Granville, Francis, Pack, Cooper, etc. I love Hack, but he has not developed as a natural PG, and more of a slashing 2 guard. Angelo will continue to be a solid sub at PG. We desperately need another Granville/Francis natural PG to set up easier shots and get the offense flowing. This is perhaps our most critical need. Great work, Coach Floyd.

About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
