QB rankings
So where do we stand after one practice at quarterback? None of three exactly stood out over the others during the first practice, which is not unexpected. Mitch Mustain made smooth throws, Mark Sanchez was strong and Aaron Corp looked comfortable.
So let's rank them, something we'll do through spring practice. Today, we'll give each QB a Euro based on his ranking (Dollars are worthless).
Mark Sanchez €€€€
Mitch Mustain €€€
Aaron Corp €€
This ranking reflects that after Day 1, there's nothing from the coaches (yet), to suggest they might make a bold move regarding the position. We'll continue to monitor to see if this changes.

The Euro rankings are hilarious! Damn near choked on my muffin.
So no five Euros for any of the QBs? That's not too impressive. Having said that, Sanchez is overvalued. I'd barely give him a few pesos.
Actually I would say that Mitch Mustain is priceless. A national treasure, even.
USC appears to be the class of the Pac 10 yet again and should make it five Rose Bowls in six years. So why won't the Trojans be playing for the national title? The defense should be a killer and the offense should be explosive, and the schedule isn't all that bad with the toughest road game coming across town against UCLA. That could be the make-or-break game to play for the BCS championship if they beat Ohio State earlier in the year. Even so, this isn't Pete Carroll's best team and it could certainly lose at Arizona or at home to Oregon
that was just posted on collegefootballnews.com....looks like the shine is off the dynasty and the media guys know USC will cough up 1 clunker again this year..Arizona is my pick
this one from espn.com
Mark Sanchez/Mitch Mustain, QB USC
He won't win it because ... USC's passing game might not be quite as good as the brand name. Being the USC quarterback now is like being the Miami quarterback in the late 1980s and early 1990s; if you're driving the car, you're going to be hot stuff. It'll likely be Sanchez, but he'll have an average receiving corps, at least by USC's standards, and the Trojans will likely lose at least one game they shouldn't ... again.

This is sheer silliness. Among Hazelton, Damian Williams, RoJo, Brice Butler, et al., at least a couple guys will emerge as legitimate threats on the receiving corps. At this point, Patrick Turner may be a bust. I hope not, but he's only got one more year to prove himself.
This is merely another example of some guy being paid good money to make comments about a team to which he has obviously been paying to little attention.
