Q: Any truth to the rumor that you are the secretive person disguised as the entertainment phenomenon known as "Westside Rental Man"?
A: Hmmm. I can neither confirm nor deny that rumor. But would Westside Rental Man come up with a creative moniker like Caesar?
Q: Can you shed any light on the Leonard Washington situation and whether or not he will still be honoring his letter of intent to SC? Or, are the Kentucky rumors true? He could really help the inside game next year. I hear he was a defensive and rebounding beast in high school.
A: He is still supposed to come to USC but I learned long ago never to always expect things like this to happen when the player shows up and qualifies. One thing that would be interesting is if LSU hired a charasmatic coach who then tried to recruit the home state product.

I just finished a book by a legit writer, Austin Murphy, who used to write for Sports Illustrated. In his book, Saturday Rules, he covers the entire 2006 college football season and in it he refers to Pete Carroll as Caesar . . . long before wanna-be amateur hack Scott Wolf started using the name.
