Round 5

The questions are descending fast as Answer Tuesday moves into Answer Wednesday.

Q: Do you think the interest in Mitch Mustain is similar to Barack Obama? An unknown newcomer who people can project their own hopes and desires on.

A: Does this mean Mark Sanchez is Hillary Clinton? And neither will amass enough pledged delegates to win the starting job? Luckily, USC has only one superdelegate: Caesar!

Q: I watched the entire game on Thursday and unfortunately, it is still depressing me. For a team (USC) that has been known for its incredible defensive game plan by Phil Johnson and Tim Floyd, I could not, for the life of me, figure out what USC was intending to do on the defensive end to stop or slow down Kansas State's offensive game. I figured I would ask, since I'm nothing more than a young college student and you have the power of the press on your side. Please shed some light on this question.

A: I'll answer this question in a few days (hopefully).

Q: Do you think I should break up with my girlfriend? She wants Mitch Mustain to start, but I prefer Sanchez. She's also pretty annoying.
A: Hmmm. I'm surprised she didn't already break up following this irreconcilable difference.

That last question is awesome.

In my opinion, its not so much that the defensive game plan broke down, but there was no rebounding. I would love to know K-States shooting percentage on 1st shots of a possession, because where they killed was on their offensive rebounding. If we could have only boxed out we beat K-State.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
