Round 5

Every question will be answered today!

Q: Who are you predicting will be voted or named captains for this coming year?

A: I have not thought about this, but I think Rey Maualuga has a good chance to be a captain. Brian Cushing would be another one. Offensively, Mark Sanchez would be another strong candidate. There's not many seniors on offense, so Patrick Turner might be the next one.

Q: Mitch Mustain is a modern day Renaissance Man, true or false?
A: True.

Q: What position do you see Chris Galippo fitting into next year since the LB position appears to be locked up?

A: Middle linebacker. Right now he is backing up Maualuga.

Q: Sorry if this has already been asked but have they ever thought of moving David Ausberry to tight end?

A: No.

Scott...quick Q

I think we are already seeing that this is going to be a bad year, USC-wise. You already posted that "none of the QB's look great" and "the d-line and o-line are a concern" And there is always our lousy WR's to deal with.

I am more than "concerned" with the lines..I just don't see howell/brown/heberer doing much..throw in an inexperienced o'dowd and this will be our worst offenive line of the PC era. Since Spicer is injured, we are looking at Fili, an inexperienced Griffen, someone..maybe tupou? and kyle moore. Gonna have a hard time vs. the Ohio st. line...

Add it up...poor offensive line, WR's who cannot catch the ball or get open, and a weak D-line allowing the other team to sustain drives, and we are looking at a 9-3 or 8-4 season for USC.

IF this happens..what major changes will PC make?

thanks again

Another utterly stupid comment by the captain of a bath house. These illiterate non-Trojan morons need to leave us alone. It's not our fault they have no friends.

Before anyone jumps into a "what if Sanchez loses the starter spot into the season" topic, just remember that Oscar Lua was a team captain.

I don't think that's a "what if", it's a "when"

PC & crew have little/no faith in sanchez..we saw that last year when he got benched after the oregon game and was never seen again..after the 1st loss to a hostess cupcake...arizona or virginia..MM will be in there..

that's a good point RAB but I have seen captains on the bench lots of times..

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
