Too bad he couldn't get it done his last few years at 'SC. The hard part about baseball is you recruit the best, like he did, they usually get drafted and take the money and run. Its not like football.

These antagonistic posts are annoying. Let's say Gillespie stayed at SC and the program continued to erode around him as it had been doing, I'm certain this space would be used to speculate how long will Garrett continue to let the program erode under Gillespie.

Seriously, 50% of the posts by Wolf sound like message board materials from trolls looking to take shots at the program. I'm constantly amazed the editorial staff at the Daily News finds these antics tolerable.

There's good information to be had, but all the muck I have to read through to find it is becoming annoying. It's like would you pick up a dollar bill if it's under a pile of dog crap?

Well Brucie, if you don't like it. don't read it. I agree, old Mike wasn't getting it done at SC, but Wolf is just pointing out his success at UCI to annoy people like you. I think Krueter was a HORRIBLE hire and it looks like I'm right.

Look, football is king at SC, all the other sports are just there to keep SC at Div 1, Garrett doesn't really care one way or the other, except when a few disgruntled alums pitch a fit about why the volleyball team or swim team is so bad and what not.
