USC guard O.J. Mayo wore an ``impact'' shirt under his jersey, which provides special padding around the ribs and is usually worn by football players. Mayo said he was not hurt but wore the shirt to provide extra protection.
Trainer Bobby Walls said it's not the first time a player wore the shirt in a game this season.
