Interceptions and stuff

Two more interceptions for Mark Sanchez today, one on a tipped pass by Derek Simmons, but overall Steve Sarkisian said it was the quarterbacks best day. Why? Maybe because Mitch Mustain worked exclusively with the second team in an effort to make things easier for him. So much for the competition.
Aside from the interceptions, Sanchez did make a few nice reads on plays. Aaron Corp also played better with the second team. No interceptions for Mustain, who led the second unit to three scoring drives.
``I wanted to slow things down (for Mustain),'' Sarkisian said. ``He did a nice job. Mark recognized some pressure and turned a possible bad play into big plays.''

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
