Kicking it

Walk-on kicker Brad Smith, who transferred from Davidson, made a 57-yard field goal at Pro Day. Unfortunately, only two NFL teams stuck around to watch him and Troy Van Blarcom conclude the day's events.
Punter Tom Malone was luckier, because the punters were allowed to go at the start of the day. Smith's day got worse when he crashed his bicycle when a car cut in front of him across the street from campus. He suffered scrapes on his hip, leg and arms but said he was OK.
