Long day

Neither quarterback enjoyed a stellar day as Mark Sanchez and Mitch Mustain each threw an interception. Mustain worked just one series with the first unit.
``It was hard on them,’’ USC coach Pete Carroll said.
Aaron Corp did fine at the end of the scrimmage.
But because no one stood out, nothing changed in the quarterback depth chart.
``That last drive I made a mistake (an interception) but I felt pretty good honestly,’’ Mustain said. ``The series with the (first unit), I felt good about.’’[EP
Mustain threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to David Ausberry. He later was intercepted near the end zone by Shane Horton. Sanchez said he also felt pretty good.
``Without that one (interception), I think I had a pretty good day,’’ he said. ``It was a little miscue on my part and David (Ausberry). It was a bummer. I blew it on the throw. Overall, I’m taking care of the ball and moving the club.’’

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
