A: Players can sign as free agents with an NFL team or try out for the CFL or Arena Football.
Q: Now that there is no recruiting in May, what are Pete's next best options to recruit top players in person?
A: He's really mad that he cannot go out on the road. So he's going to have to try and get as many recurits as possible to either visit USC unofficially or come to the camps. Like I said before, this is called the Saban rule because SEC coaches were unhappy with Nick Saban's recruiting methods.
Q: Do you think New England drafting a quarterback will affect my prediction that Matt Cassel will have a longer career than Matt Leinart?
A: Tough question. Who knows how long Matt Leinart's career will last? So I guess I'll have to say the Patriots' decision will not affect your prediction at this time.

The recruiting halt is only for head coaches and if you read the ESPN.com story today under the Big 12 notebook - the new rule in which head coaches cannot visit recruits during April 15 - May 31 is discussed.
What's interesting though is that Les Miles is quoted in the piece as saying that "The rules change has been bashed by coaches across the country. LSU coach Les Miles specifically blamed Brown for its installation.
"The guy who pushed this was Mack Brown because Mack doesn't have to leave his office ever, and that's an advantage for him," Miles told reporters last week. "That's just because it's Texas.""
For once, and only once, I'd agree with Miles on something. Mack has been pushing for this new rule change and it doesn't have to do with Saban as much as it has to do with keeping other coaches from out recruiting other coaches.
