About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

All that talent and 1 National Championship = Joke!
let's hold off on the "joke" label...
I wouldn't call 2 rose bowl wins over good teams "a joke"..or going 11-2...should they of done better? sure. NC? maybe..they were odds on favorites before the 2007 season started. But I think alot of other teams would take 11-2 and #3 ranking.
Like I have posted..we're just going tohave to get used to being 10-3 and #4 and forget about NC until the players (that means you Patrick Turner) feel like giving 100% every game, even if it's a cold October saturday vs. Washington when we are favored by 23 points.
Ok first off its 2 national titles moron. And someone is gonna complain about 6 straight conference titles, and back 2 back rose bowl victories. Name me a program in the span Pete Carroll has been here that has even compared to us besides LSU. Who has not actually won there conference 6 straight years, or been to a BCS bowl 6 straight years.
And Rickyirvins, to get used to having a 10-3 record whouldnt that mean we would have to lose 3 games at some point. This team has not lost 3 games since Carroll's first year with Carson at QB.
If people are gonna write stuff on here and your not sure if its correct, try doing a little research.
Along with the grads that weren't drafted I'm interested in what happens to Matt Cassel.
New England picked up another QB in the third round. Being Tom Brady's buddy might not be enough to keep him on the roster.
And what about those undrafted Trojans?
The guy who runs the UCLA site has info on five Bruins that have been invited to mini-camps. And from what I gathered surfing their site when this one was down, he's really nothing but a fanboy homer. What about the inside-man that runs this one? Somebody's slacking.
I know you think its 2 titles Booty, becuase youre a tool. I dont recognize the AP thing as a title, because its not. So it is 1. Deal.
And it is a joke considering the talent that has been on this team that past 3 years and they have not won a Championship. If this coaching staff cant win with the best talent in the country, then what else do they need?
The goal is to win the title. Period. Be #1. Congrats on having low expectations. Im sure that attitude has done you wonders in life.
To ALL the harsh critics I have three words for you:
ridiculous, JRII and Hackett.
USC losing to UNC in basketball is fairly easy to stomach. In 1993 USC lost to the Tarheels FB team, HAH? Yes, it did happen. Mack Brown UT coach was UNC coach then. How do you do? You have heard of JRII and Hackett. Ask any major college HC FB coach if they would take USC record during the last seven years.
Thank you
Everyone saying to not win with "this talent" is a joke....uh, that assumes that they would have been as highly drafted on any other college team. Did you ever stop to think about the fact that they may be so good BECAUSE of USC? Of course, we have top recruits, but you're telling me they gained nothing from being at SC? If so, I would point you to the comments of Sedrick Ellis, Keith Rivers, and every player who has played for Pete Carroll and their gratitude towards the coaching staff for making them better. Bagging on SC for not winning a national championship every year is pathetic and unrealistic.
We get great recruits, we make great football players. We have still been dominant, we will be dominant, so get used to it. WIN FOREVER!
Two additional Crystal Footballs would reside at Heritage Hall but for that last minute meltdown against Texas, and 13-9. The latter was worse by a mile since it was against a bunch of Ruin scrubs led by the fragile Patrick Cowan and sad sack coach Karl Dorrell. Unfortunately 13-9 defined Booty; he failed to show true leadership on a fairly loaded team with a nice complement of offensive weapons. Another touchdown against UGLA would have meant a MNC, and an early exit to the NFL for Booty as a draft rival to Brady Quinn. The league showed little forgiveness towards Booty this weekend and it cost him millions.
Hey USC'89, Too bad it does not matter what the F you think. The facts are that USC did win back to back National Titles. The AP National Title does matter. And im guesiing anyone involved with USC thinks so too since their rings say National Champions on them. So sorry to burst that little bubble you seem to be living in.
And yes the goal is to be #1 every year. But things happen and sometimes it does not happen. What they have accomplished is amazing, and too bad losers like you come on and think you could prob. do a better job than the current coaching staff.
Oh and your right that attitude has really destroyed my life. Thanks for straightening me out and telling me to have higher expectations in life. I used to think this was just a USC message board, but now it is so much more. Thanks to you my life has meaning again. WHAT A LOSER 89!
If the monikor 'USC'89' signifies when this man graduated from SC, then I would think that he, more than most, would appreciate this current Trojan run. The team was pretty good in the 1987-1989 period, but then imploded all through the 1990s (except for a Rose Bowl victory with the 1995 team). Those were down years, those teams were not winners.
But the 2002-2007 Trojans are winners. They have WON the Pac-10 6 years running. Does that not qualify as a winner? If winning the national title is one's definition of a winner, then one is setting himself up for dire disappointment every year.
