Funny that you mention Nebraska. I was in Lincoln last week on business and there was a HUGE amount of publicity: ads, radio spots, lots and lots or promotion for the scrimmage.

If I wasn't a regular reader of SC-related web sites there's no way I would have known about the Huddle.

Which is too bad. SC could have made a huge deal of the quarterback battle (which was officially decided before the Huddle, so no drama there). It could have been a big, big event. But no...

A good journalist would investigate the stories behind those numbers and maybe find out that there are a billion other things to do in LA than watch a college football practice.

I noticed that Scott loves to dig at USC fans by making ridicules comparisons. I really, really wanted to go to the spring game but I had to watch my 2 year old daughter on Saturday. It was obvious to me that my daughter would much rather go to the park, botanical garden or the beach, then spend two hours driving from OC to LA and back for a practice game. So I took her to the botanical gardens and the park. If I were from Nebraska or Missouri or any other town on Scott's list - I would have made plans to go to the football game about 3 months ago. Mainly because there are still 363 days left to milk the cows or feed the pigs. Obviously, Scott didn' t figure out what those numbers really mean. Scott, your research assignment is to find out why the Nebraska football stadium holds more people then the entire town of Lincoln Nebraska. Once you figure that out, I'm sure you won't make stupid comparisons between LA or west coast schools and midwest or farm-belt schools.
