Quarterback reaction

Mitch Mustain said he would give himself a C+ after two weeks of spring practice. Mark Sanchez said he would give himself a B+/A-.

``I had a pretty good first half but I could have had a better second half,'' Mustain said. ``There is a noticeable difference (between first and second string defenses).''

``I was real conservative and played smart and we had no penalties,'' Sanchez said. ``That was the key. The first couple passes, nothing was open, and threw it away. The second play, I threw it away.''

I just fell of my chair..oops...he thinks this performance is an "A-"?? INT's everywhere and 100 yards passing? He's thrown like 6 INT's so far in spring practice and thinks he gets a "B+"??

jeezis we are in more trouble than I thought. So what is he going to say after losing to Washington because he threw 2 INT's?? "That's about a B+" ???

SOMEONE GET THAT GUY OUT OF HERE

Here's some news that Scott Wolf won't print in his blog for some reason. Now, if USC had lost 2 of 3 this weekend, you could be there would be another of his Mike Gillespie mentions again.

USC beat UCLA in 2 of 3 games this weekend in baseball. This may have been a decisive weekend for second-year Trojans Coach Chad Kreuter. He came in having lost six consecutive games to the Bruins, and people have been waiting to see signs of life in a program that has won 12 NCAA titles but went 27-29 last season.

On Friday night, Tommy Milone struck out 14 and Robert Stock hit a three-run home run in a 6-1 victory. On Saturday, USC hit four home runs and Grant Green went four for four in a 7-4 victory.

The good news for the Trojans (15-15, 4-5) is that they have faced three of the toughest teams in the Pacific 10 in their opening three series -- Arizona, Arizona State and UCLA.

"When you win a series against UCLA, it's big, not only for our players and team but our alumni," Kreuter said.

Where did I get this info from? From the Los Angeles Times, which provides balanced reporting in its blogs, website and newspaper.
