Shape of things to come

One difference in USC's nickel defense is that when Clay Matthews comes in at defensive end, Kyle Moore moves inside to tackle and the position filled by Christian Tupou/Derek Simmons/Averell Spicer comes off the field.

Interesting rotation that PC and the staff have added. It brings more speed up front. Fight On!

great...wonderful..

I am not really sure what to say at this point.

This was supposed to be a huge year for USC with 2 #1 QB's battling it out and putting on a show for the starting spot, with players like Patrick Turner and Joe Mcknight going up against a tough as nails D led by A. Spicer and Brian Cushing with big hits from Rey M and lock down coverage from J. Pinkard and Taylor Mays..

What I have seen so far is 2 bird brain QB's throwing INT's everywhere and "if JDB was here the competition would be over already, some RB's running for 35 yards, and the D Giving up 40 yard TD runs to Aaron Corp..the only good think I see here is the title of the post which was a good song by the Yardbirds..

Kyle Moore was great last year at picking off passes. Now they move him inside in the nickel. Hope they know what they are doing and that Matthews is as good at interceptions.

I'm so happy for Clay Matthews Jr. and his progression from being a walk-on to having such a huge role in the defense.

I like the sound of this defensive front. It'll be interesting to see who is going to play the nickel back spot. Hopefully Josh Pinkard can come back from his injury.
