Shotgun U.?

Looks like there could be a bigger role for the shotgun.

Does that mean they have more confidence in the receivers and/or a mobile QB?

ahem

heard word for word last year, along with "the WRs look so much better!" "this team is much more talented than last year!" "expect patrick turner to have a big year!!" "the offense is way ahead of where it was last year" and on and on..(yawn)

USC always does do a good job of self promotion haha

Scott, since USC was a few lucky breaks away from being a laughingstock last year (if dixon wouldn't of gotten hurt we would of been in the holiday bowl or meineke bowl, if maiava wouldn't of gotten the ball out of the Illinios wr's hands it would of been 21-17 USC with momentum to Illinois and illinois prob would of won etc.)

It's long forgotten now by USC fans but after the Stanford loss USC was beng labeled the biggest bust in college football history. We started the year #1 and had lost that to LSU by the third week because we were playing so terribly. Idaho and Stanford pushed us around pretty good. (yeah that's you howell, heberer and Parsons)

If we get blasted by Ohio st. and lose to another cupcake like Arizona, do you see any changes being made? Or BAU? It's pretty obvious from the amount of tipped passes we had that the shotgun is needed, along with other things. (more blitzing? bench turner and hazelton? Bring in a stud JUCO O-lineman? An "offensive assistant" to help brain dead Sarkisian?)

How does PC feel about "sark"? I personally detest him, he is a horrible OC. His play calling is totaly predictable and stupid. he came into the position telling all of us the ball would be thrown down the field more and "stretching the field", basically what everyone wanted to hear, then proceeded to dial up 32 off tackles and bubble screens per game.(Obviously some of it JDB's fault) And he pressured PC into letting him be the OC and threatens to walk if someone else is brought in, like some little dictator.

Is there any list of possibles to replace Sark? any other major changes possible?

"Sanchez threw five interceptions in three practices this week,...."

that's about what he did last year..or an average of 1.5 INT per game or 16-17 INT's for the season.

With stats like this: 140-261, 1100 yds, 7 TD 8 INT at midseason, any chance of Corp starting? (since you post that MM looks equally bad)

Ricky, here's a pretty good website for statistical analysis on Trojan Football. Essentially what you'll find out is that you're blowing all of this stuff way out of proportion.

Of course, you may not want to know that you're totally overreacting and that everything you've ever done, said or felt is just plain wrong.

Isn’t it obvious by now? Our QBs can’t learn the offense! The new guys aren’t even stacking up against big dummy (14 on the Wonderlic) JD Booty. With our equally dull corps of receivers the passing game is gonna be ugly -everyone looking for pick-sixes off our stupid bubble screens. Better put in a bunch of Zone Read plays and give it to Corp, then pray he doesn’t get “Cowaned” by some Rey Rey wannabe.
Matt Barkley is going to destroy these guys next year.

They say the same thing every year. I won't believe it until I see it.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
