Matt Leinart, Matt Leinart-- oh yeah, didn't he play for SC back in 2003-2005? That was a long time ago. I recall the guy being a great quarterback. But why do some people keep bringing up his name, especially in a negative context?

You made a mistake he won his Heisman in 2005 when he was in the Orange Bowl annd was a Heisman Finalist in 2006. Also he was a top ten NFL Draft pick and had endorsements. After that he is the next Cade McCown. Also, Matt Cassel has been in the playoffs and Super Bowl more than him.

The only trend I see is that Scott Wolf's still has a Matt Leinart chip on his shoulder, always looking for a way to make a negative entry about Matt in his blog.

Scott, let it go. It only makes you look bad. ML has been gone from SC for 3 years. The guy won 2 national championship for us. He was a great Trojan.

I guess that I am not understanding why this needs to be brought up now? The info has always been available (for anyone and everyone that has internet access). So you have to ask, why was is the reader considered so "alert"? Was this real news or was it just someone just dying trying to get some pub from Wolfeeeeeee. Fight On!

Matt received the Heisman for his 2004 season in December of 2006. He was a finalist the following year in 2005. Scott has this right.

Don't hate! I bet every single guy wishes he had at least one of those awards, including the ones from 2006. He was hurt in 2007, and I bet if there was an award concerning nurses, he would have won it!

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
