Afternoon question

| | Comments (9) |

The NFL and college football football are apparently increasing in popularity in Denmark. A Danish journalist asked me today what NFL player I would compare Rey Maualuga to.
So I turn to you for that answer. Who would you compare Maualuga to?

Pacman Jones. They're both always getting into trouble with the law.

Awww... you Bruins are adorable. Who loves coming on the Trojan blog? Come on, boy! Who loves it? That's a good boy!

Hey, have any media outlets asked about comparing your players to NFL players? What? They haven't? But you guys are SO GOOD! I mean, there's... um... what about that guy... um... who's on your team again?

Maybe John Matuszak? Except Maualuga is more ferocious. I'd skip the NFL player comparisons and just go for the sting "ray" that killed Steve Irwin.

Most of these subway bruin internet geeks never saw the inside of an ugla classroom. And they exaggerate SC's problems because they are jealous of the Trojans' success. Of course, if ugla was winning like Troy does I would be jealous too. But since they're not I don't give a second thought to their football team, and I don't think they much care either. Life is tough enough without rooting for a losing team.

UCLA fans really shouldn't talk about citizenship when you've had players assault people at Denny's. I mean really, who decides to get into it with somebody at Denny's?

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
