Recruiting tidbits flowing in today.
A former USC transfer is now advising some recruits not to attend the school based on his experiences.
Will it matter? Who knows but his comments are getting circulated.

Emanuel Moody? It was pretty obvious from comments that Carl Moore made that Moody was badmouthing the USC program.

I guess the culprit could be Jamere Holland since he had trouble getting out of here.

Rocky Hinds?

Antwaine Perez?

I doubt it's Josh Tatum since there were some rumors he was trying to get back in.

Maybe the recruits will pay more attention to the recent NFL draft than the sour grapes of someone who obviously didn't fit in the program.

Yeah, tell them how everyone out of SC dominates in the NFL.... wait a second, only Loafer and that long hair @ the steelers play.... everyone else has been a bust, talk about not getting your guys ready for the next level.

It is true, as a rule SC players lately have not been great in the NFL. Which only confirms how good of a job the SC coaches are doing by having the Trojans either playing for the national championship, or in the running for the championship every year since 2001. And even in 2001 they were probably the best team in the country at the end of the year (but had those 2 early losses).

The funny thing is I have heard from a lot of Florida insiders that Moody has been terrible and probably won't even start at Florida.

greengable - if you watched the Florida spring game, Moody did look good, but it's going to be Mon Williams and Chris Rainey that get the majority of the snaps. Moody ripped off some nice runs against the scrubs, but that fumble on his dive into the endzone was not a good sign for him.

Miguelito, the majority of USC guys to come out recently have been solid contributors. The only player who has been in the league long enough to identify him as a bust is Mike Williams. All the other guys who you would label a bust (Leinart, Bush, Jarrett) just haven't reached their potential yet.

I don't expect a guy who wasn't good enough to play for USC to go out and say good things about the program. It's like saying great things about a girl that dumped you. Probably not gonna happen.

RECRUITS: Don't bother coming if you don't want to compete and are LAZY

Steve Smith is already a bust? I thought he was doing OK.

And poor Carson Palmer! Goes to a Pro Bowl and then is condemned as a bust?

Mike Patterson? A bust? Hello?

Winston Justice? A bust already?

Is Keary Colbert going to give Denver all that money back now that some "expert" here announces that he is a bust?

A bust? Steve Smith has a super bowl ring I think, and was a STANDOUT at the game. Not bad for a rookie.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
