As far as the profanity, I'm sure they got this in high school also, so it's no big deal. As much as the profanity was all the encouragement - "I love you guys", "You're doing great", etc.

During my tenure at SC I too was a walk-on. I dropped a pass that was lasered to me from about 10 feet away, Coach John McKay casually walked up to me and said, "You drop another pass and you may as well get off this field." That was more devastating than anything I just saw on this video.

I also heard that Coach Carroll sometimes doesn't hold the door open for people walking behind him.

I would refer Coach Rick to the documentary "Year of the Bull" about Miami Northwestern High School. In the film, a coach and a player get into a fist fight at PRACTICE. These are walk-on try outs. What should they do? Serve lemonade and cookies? Brendan comes off too cocky and a bit idiotic but this is harmless stuff.

This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen! Brennan Carroll totally rocks. What a frickin stud! He's got to be a total chick magnet on campus. It's especially really cool when he wears his visor upside down and backwards and shouts profanity. That gives him total street cred. Not to mention how articulate he is when he ends every sentence with "k?" SC should hire a whole bunch more guys just like him!
