Cinco de Mayo

ESPNU, a channel I never watch, is going to telecast games featuring players who wore No. 5 on Cinco de Mayo. Naturally, Reggie Bush's 2005 game against UCLA will be telecast.
But ESPNU is also going to show USC's victory over Arizona in basketball.
ESPNU said it's televising that game in honor of O.J. Mayo. He wore 32, but I guess they couldn't resist the ``Mayo.''
I'm stunned they didn't mention the real Cinco de May tie-in was Davon Jefferson, who wore No. 5. But then Tim Floyd probably wouldn't watch.

BWAH..Scott just got owned by some simple arithmetic. Maybe they couldn't resist the Mayo? Really?!?!

Oh and why the UCLA game why not the crazy Arkansas game where he ran for like 3 TDs in 30 seconds. Or the Fresno St. game where he won the Heisman.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
