Coliseum deal
USC announced it officially reached agreement with the Coliseum today, as expected.
Here's two interesting deal points:
*USC will retain right of consent over any amateur or professional football team desiring to play in the Coliseum.
*USC will pay the Coliseum Commission 8 percent of revenue collected from live television broadcast of football games which are attended by less than 70,000 people.

Nice to see a deal finally struck. But was there any real doubt?
First, this assures that no NFL (no fun league) team will ever mar the coliseum (sorry, my prejudice, but I will take passionate college football over 'punch the time clock' pro football any day of the week)
Second, and more importantly, SC will do everything in its power to avoid having to pay 8% of revenue to the Coliseum Commission. All the school has to do is keep putting a great product on the field, and over 70,000 fans will show up year after year, decade after decade. The Trojans have been playing this game since 1888, so I believe history is on their side.
