More Brand

Another comment from NCAA president Myles Brand.
``We are not the cops on the corner. The schools themselves have the responsibility to follow the rules and that means, and includes, separating agents from interfering with student-athletes."

Ummm, hello, Myles. Welcome to 2008. Guillory had his hooks into Mayo as a HS kid in West Va. Yes, schools are responsible for separating agents from s-a's. And, the DEA is responsible for stopping the flow of drugs into the US. Both are mission impossible. Get a clue, Myles.

Myles "I'm a total hypocrite" Brand. I'll let Florida State keep the Seminole name and mascot, but "DAMN YOU" Illinois if you think you can keep the "Fighting Illini and Chief Illiniwek". So of course Myles (I am the NCAA) will want to run down USC. He will not be happy until PC and Mike Garrett are behind bars. Beware Wolfeee, Myles is going to try and take down you blog next. Fight On!

How stupid, the real quote was that Brand was going to look into Mayo because of new evidence that they did not have " when the NCAA cleared Mayo's armature status originally" So if they find out they made a mistake originally, are they now going to do something to SC? I don't think so!! Again this is much about nothing, it is an agent issue not an SC issue.

You guys must all be hitting the same pipe. Of ALL people to let back into the program....Guillory? Please.

I hate to admit it, ReelBruin, but I have to agree with you that there appears to be no rational justification for having any contact with Guillory after the Trepagnier mess. Also, there is still no word from Garrett or Floyd concerning Guillory's access to the program via Mayo.

Mike,
These idiots just can’t stay away. ReelBruin2 is probably just another one of “Nestor” Zaheed’s minions doing drive-by duty for the Loser Nation.
Why all this feigned concern for SC athletics? Their cravenness couldn’t be more obvious, as they fan the fires hoping to steal Demar DeRozan from under Floyd’s nose. They also yearn to vacate their choking basketball team’s loss to SC at Pauley and re-open the whole stupid Gauntlet thing. These new-age bRuins are a dismal and pathetic lot.
FIGHT ON!

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
