About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Willie McGinnest, Jack Del Rio and perhaps Lofa Tatupu should be listed, as well.
This should have been labeled a Test Question, not a Poll Question. Adding Jack Del Rio would have made the Test Question marginally more difficult, I guess. Why not Duane Bickett then? He went 1st round in 1985 and won defensive rookie of the year, while JDR went 3rd round.
Most of your readers probably don't even recall Richard Wood. Wasn't he one of the 'Wild Bunch?' Hard to pick any of these men over the others-- they all had their strengths. But of course Seau was probably one of those once in a decade athletes.
Richard "Batman" Wood was all-around awesome three years in a row. Junior Seau redefined the position. There was potential for Lofa to have done the same had he stayed his senior year, and he is on his way to becoming the prototype for the pro linebacker of the next decade. Rey Maualuga... if he proves he can play the mental part of the game and has three of four ferocious hits like the one he had in the UCLA game in 2006, he could have as big of an impact on the college game as Junior Seau did. I just don't know where every big college coach is going to find their alligator.
How about Chip Banks?
Richard Wood was not one of the Wild Bunch. The Wild Bunch came before Wood and were all Defensive Linemen.
