We frequently mentioned wide receiver Randall Carroll as a soft commit. But we also might move Carson tight end Morrell Presley into that category since he is also showing interest in UCLA.

Would love to keep them, but expendable. If they go elsewhere, it is to guarantee early playing time and avoid hyper-competition. By the way, if I were in their shoes, I would definitely milk my experience and take all of my recruiting visits. The vacillations at this point are meaningless, but good for passing the slow days of summer.

DFWTrojan, completely agree with you. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for a football recruit. Who are we to begrudge them a chance to visit other schools? If they go elsewhere, so be it. Come National Letter of Intent signing day in February, there is no doubt that Slick Rick would gladly trade his class for that of Pete "King of Los Angeles" Carroll.

Not so sure about that, considering Pete's classes seem to come with scandal, arrests, and ineligibility.

Oh really? If you weren't sure about it and weren't threatened by our ever dominant recruiting classes then why the hell are you wasting your time reading this blog ReelBruin2? I wouldn't even know where to find a Bruin blog, we don't care because we're that much better. How does it feel getting mediocre talent and fielding mediocre teams year in and year out?

And let's not allow facts to affect innuendo.
I recall seeing statistics indicating that college kids at large have a higher percentage of problems i.e. the law, dropouts etc, than do the players on a football team. Probably has something to do with more extrinsic discipline, and having more to lose than the other students i.e. their scholarships.
Further, a team is made up of about 100 kids. Out of 100 there will be a few who get into some trouble, and because athletes are in the limelight, you will see every little blemish. But the vast majority are straight-shooters.
But the anti-SC folks will continue to look at the kettle, and fail to see their own pot. Can't reason with your enemies, and why bother.

Just ignore the gutless little pukes - I mean bruins - who try to stir up trouble here. They are all USC wannabes. Let them wallow in their football mediocrity while they clean my pool and mow my lawn.
