Q: Maybe I have missed it, but I would like your opinion, Scott, point blank: will SC be penalized or not for either the Bush matter or the Mayo stuff? If so, what is the likely penalty or penalties?
A: That is a question no one can answer. If I had to guess, the NCAA will want to do something on the Bush case, so I expect some type of sanction. I doubt it would be probation or being ineligible for a bowl. That doesn't mean it's not possible, but right now, enough has not been revealed to suggest that. As for Mayo, if I had to bet, I'd say maybe some forfeits, but again we're in the infancy of this case, so it's really only a guess at this point.
Q: What is your opinon on what is happening at 710 ESPN radio? Ever since they got USC football and basketball, the rest of their radio shows has gone DOWNHILL!
A: The lineups changed so much I don't really even know who's on there right now. They need stability so the fans can develop a relationship with the hosts.
Q: How long does USC have Arbogast under contract to do their football games, or does he just come with the radio package. It would be nice to see USC actually hire a PROFESSIONAL to do their games.
A: I heard his TrojanTV deal expires in March of next year. Not sure about the radio, but I'll look into it.
Arbogast must work cheap because he sucks.
I'd rather have Spiro Dedes, Petros, and Money do the games. I hate to say it, but even Hacksaw was better than Arbo.
T&T must be a johnny com lately to SC football, Hacksaw was pretty good but leave Spiro and Money to Basketball and Petros, turn down the volume. Even "Oh Mercy, Nurse! was pretty good back in the 60's and 70's
