In a scenario where Sanchez is still the starter after fall camp and USC starts the season 0-2 for the first time in the Pete Carroll era, do you foresee Sanchez being replaced by Mitch Mustain? Will it depend on the margin of defeat, number of losses, or will Carroll stick with the quarterback no matter what throughout the season? Essentially, what is the scenario for the hook being brought out and replacing quarterbacks?

Will Mitch Mustain ever start at USC? Mark Sanchez will be at USC for two years, possibly. The Sanchez Period will end in Spring 2010 when there will be a new Quarterback Competition. Aaron Crop has four years of eligilbity left and will be a redshirt junior in 2010. Matt Barkley will be a redshirt freshmen if he redshirts in 2010, the year where the next QB competition will happen. Mitch Mustain will have one year left if he chooses to stay here and not transfer. What is the possibilty.

What happen to Jamere Holland. I know he transfered to Oregon and was dismissed was from the team, are rumors true that his former Football Coach at Woodland Hills Taft, who now works at Florida tried making him and other Trojans transfer to Florida sich as Moody?

Yahoo Sports reported that Friday the San Diego County Superior Court judge in the Lake vs Bush lawsuit ordered that the trial begin March 13, 2009. Lake's lawyer said that Pete Carroll and assistant coach Todd McNair would be among those subpoenaed as witnesses. If you lie to a NCAA or Pac-10 investigator you risk losing your job, but lie under oath in a court of law and you risk going to jail. So if PC and TN testify in a public court of law that they did not know of the Bush family activities and Reggie testifies to this too, do you think this will help USC with the NCAA investigation? In other words, doesn't a trial do more to potentially help USC than a confidential settlement by Bush and Lake.

OK my real question--

What do you see Sark/PC doing if one of the WR's does not step up again this year? Fred Davis was the WR corps last year. A. McCoy is a stud but no experience..should we be preparing ourselves for 30 hands offs and 20 short dump offs to S. havili per game?

As per the Lake thing..I am so sick of hearing about it..I remember R. Bush's family high-tailing it out of some big house when the story broke..so to me, there's no doubt the Bush family was doing something wrong. If they weren't, why were they heading for the hills at 100 mph?

But I do believe that PC and USC didn't now much/anything about it. PC hates sports agents and it's pretty doubtful he would let one get around Reggie Bush. Remember though, PC knew about the $100,000 a month condo or whatever it was Leinart was staying in, though. So the question is, just how much did USC know about? Did PC not know but McNair did?

USC seems to feel it is without guilt, and Joe McKnight talked to Reggie on his signing day and was OK with what he heard. So I am not too worried. Lake can't play much of his "evidence" because it would incriminate him...this "trial" that the Yahooo yahoos are talking about won't last long. Once Lake starts saying "plead the fifth" "plead the fifth to that" he judge is going to dismiss it as a nuisance.

What are your thoughts on the AP title vs the BCS title? They usually end up with the same team except for 2003. At least the AP title takes into account ALL the games, including the bowls. There is no BCS poll after the bowls since they don't re-rank the teams. The BCS really is just for determining who will play in what BCS bowl game. It's a flawed system that they don't seem interested in fixing and there really is no true National Champion. I believe the NCAA doesn't even list Div 1A NCAA champions.

Scott, do you think the USC band is going to be "invited" to the Rose Bowl when USC plays that school across town, in football, on 12/6/08?

With all the negative rhetoric recently concerning the baseball team it got me to wondering - is it even possible to turn this thing around? With Title IX, the fact that USC is expensive, and the multitude of baseball powerhouses in Southern California it seems nearly impossible. Is USC baseball destined for mediocrity in the foreseeable future? If you were to draft a plan to get things moving in the right track, what would you start with?
