Out of town

With NCAA rules preventing Caesar from going out to high schools this month, he decided to take a vacation. I guess that means no web-cam chats like Alabama coach Nick Saban did with a recruit. As I've previously written, Saban is the cause of this new rule in the first place.

As I've mentioned before, ESPN.com ran a story about this new rule for head coaches and Les Miles is quoted as saying that Mack Brown is the reason behind this new rule. Brown is the one that has pushed this rule the hardest. Brown has further stated that he enjoys this rule and was one of the coaches pushing for this new rule.

I figure it's so Brown doesn't have other coaches coming into Texas to recruit, when he wants to just relax in his comfy office in Austin!

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
