Side Issue
It's starting to look less likely that recruit Maurice Simmons will resolve his legal issues before school starts in August. But aside from the legal issues, we hear Simmons' injured ankle might make a year off less damaging than it sounds because he could be limited physically.
Which ankle is it? I hope it's not the rear ankle in his firearm stance. What's he going to do all year if he can't bang? Seriously, I hope he is innocent, but if there is an ounce of truth in his charges, then he should never be allowed to step on campus.
Who cares? We don't want him now. Just a thug that will cause more trouble and embarrassment later. We don't need that ever but especially now.
In fact, it's better that he tipped his hand now, before we got him.
