Spin Control
Here's a question about how I ruffled some feathers last week.
Q: Do you feel you are doing your job well when USC's Sports Information office gets upset about your reportage? I understand that USC was bending your ear big time on both the Kevin Love Rejects Mayo story and the Actual Heights vs. Media Guide Heights blog entry?
A: It's a normal part of the job to step on the toes of sports information and in many ways, it does mean you are doing your job if you upset them, because it is their job to defend usc at all costs. I suspect someone in the basketball office was upset and asked sports information to do their bidding. Another part of the process. I used to get bothered by all the spin and nonsense but now it's mostly amusing.

Great answer, Wolfie!!!
It sounds like Wolf thinks he is an actual journalist with no agenda. Interesting...
Give 'em hell, Wolfie!
There are some jobs I would not have been good at, and which I leave to others to perform. Some that come to mind are soldier, policeman, fireman, auto mechanic, and computer technician. Oh, yeah, and reporter. I say Wolf is pretty good at his job, certainly better than I would be.
Reportage?
