4.25 for Taylor Mays is almost other-worldly. Any of you oldtimers out there ever hear of a faster SC football time (O.J., Earl, somebody)?

Any clue what Pinkard's time was prior to injury?

LeefDizzle said:

Pretty sure Justin Fargas ran in the 4.2 range...

Was Fargas sporting the cornrows at the time? I hear they streamline.

I was lucky enough to run a 4.25 one day. Of course, that was with a 45 mph Santa Ana at my back, and I only ran 10 feet to get a beer (and no, I was not sporting the cornrows). Fight On!

LAWYER JOHN said:

Hey, kp, that's like the old joke of the golfer who was asked what he shot on the course, and he replied, "Well, I shot 72-- but then I had to get ready to play the back-9."

kptrojan said:

Lawyer John, I have to admit that I lied. It was actually only 5 feet and it was a 60 mph Santa Ana. As for the 72, hell I shoot that I on my first (6) holes (on a great day). Fight On!

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
