USC just released this statement on O.J. Mayo.
``We are in contact with the NCAA and the Pac-10 and are working with
both in a cooperative investigation to review these new allegations.''

I'm just happy as hell that ESPN's Pat Forde is not running the investigation. If he had it his way, USC would be shut down, burned downed and then redeveloped as "FUCLA South". Fight On (and beware of the "Forde Frame-Up").

Better get Sgt. Schultz from Hogan's Heroes to speak on USC's behalf: "I know nothink..." I just hope the NCAA doesn't offer him streusel!
In all seriousness, USC will deny that it was aware of whether OJ was receiving extra benefits. Much of this stuff happened before Mayo landed at USC. However, I just hope USC comes up with an answer as to why Guillory was allowed access to the program after the Jeff Trepagnier fiasco.

USCmike - the answer to your question lies in the fact that Guillory delievered OJ to Floyd. Remember OJ wouldn't even let Floyd call him, it was all thru Guillory (this is of course the story we all know very publicly about OJ's "recruitment.")
Floyd knew what he was in for the moment Guillory walked thru the door with his "OJ will play for you, he will call you" program. There is no deniability for Floyd here. The reward at the time clearly outweighed the risk.
The policy of allowign agents or runners in locker-rooms at USC is just plain stupid.

Why should USC suffer if a player received payments and benefits. It did not affect any outcomes of games and no USC affilated worker or alumni paid OJ Mayo so it is ok. Also Pat Forde is the most bias reporter, I guess he must be East Coast guy, since he wants USC tosuffer for something it had no control over and the NCAA had no control over. Also, why is that Mayo is the only one being publicized many other high school stars take money.

i support and root for usc basketball (i hate the football team) cuz like my brother is from sc and i want him to further his enjoyment beyond football. this mayo thing is so disappointing. floyd definitely knows whats going on and he rolled the dice. i liked and respected floyd for his x's and o's, but his willingness to engage the program in this mess should prompt usc to axe him as soon as possible.
usc get rid of floyd and continue to support your basketball team!!

I know why Floyd agreed to meet with Guillory - to gain access to Mayo. That was not my question, however. My question is how can USC justify any contact with Guillory when he was responsible for the Trepagnier mess? There probably is no justification, but that is an issue that Floyd and Garrett must address, and soon.
