Q: Since it looks like we are going to fully implement the shotgun this year. Does it look like we will be running out of the formation or just as a strictly 3rd down passing situation. Thanks and go TDF!

A: It's primary use will be pass plays but I'm sure there's a couple running plays to keep defenses honest. Remember, the real reason it is being used is because of a lack of faith in the offensive line's pass protection. So it will be used mostly in pass plays.

Q: The historical LA Coliseum and USC photographs that you posted in the past were great to see. Would you try to find that historic Song Girl Calendar from the 80's and post it for all to remember the 80's or see them for the very first time?

A: I actually have a copy of that calendar from the glory days and will see if I can get some pictures on the blog.

Q: Who do you have the best working relationship with, the SID or any of the coaches/coaching staffs?

A: I'm not sure I understand what you're asking but I'd say I probably enjoy dealing more with coaches than PR people because they actually deal with football matters and are more interesting as far as my job is concerned. If this does not answer your question, sent it again with more detail.

Q: How is Jeff Byers doing this offseason?

A: He's healthy and ready to be the leader as the veteran of the offensive line. He measured 6-3 1/4, 284 pounds at the recent USC Pro Day.

Q: Who do you think that USC will lose to during their PAC 10 in conference games this year? Or are you confident that they will run the table?

A: It's pretty tough to run the table but the road schedule is much easier than last season. And I always feel like it's a game no one expects USC to lose that it will lose. All the biggest teams, Cal, Oregon, Arizona State, are at the Coliseum. So maybe Oregon State and Arizona are the nerve-rattling games, but really it's too soon to tell.
