Q: Do you see the Trojans adding to their commitment list after the rising star camp on Wed. and Thur. and give me a few names that you think could be next?

A: I still think it's a bit early to predict this stuff, mainly because I think USC is as busy trying to hold some of its current commitments as it is getting new ones.

Q: As it has become apparent that change with the Song Girls squad will not be coming anytime soon (the people in charge seem to be heavily protected and have a lot of power), aren't we pretty much screwed for a very long time?

A: Yup. Unless public opinion forces a groundswell to make the selection process more transparent. This is where the readers need to focus. Tryouts are usually in the Lyon Center, so maybe they need the public to attend.

Q: Which costs more?

1) Getting your ugly sister selected to the Song Girls squad.

2) Picking up the dinner tab for a night out with Petros Papadakis.

3) A liver transplant at the UCLA Medical Center.
