We finally got through all the questions.

Q: What is the 'story' behind former basketball recruit Malik Story?

A: He has not met the necessary academic requirements.

Q: TrojanTV today posted a video showing coach Pat Ruel mercilessly taunting the elderly at last weekend's fantasy football camp -- individuals who not only did not receive scholarships but, rumor has it, actually paid extra to the university for the privilege of trying out for the team. As a Trojan, I am outraged at the lack of civility demonstrated by Coach Ruel.

1. How will this despicable video affect future recruiting efforts in the all-important desert retirement communities?
2. How likely is it that Rick Neuheisel will use the video to entice overweight middle aged men to consider UCLA for their future fantasy camp needs?
3. Is there any truth to rumors that the NCAA and AARP are launching a joint investigation of USC?
4. Is it true that Pat Ruel is actually Pete Carroll's other son?
5. Any chance that over-40 year olds will get equal representation on the USC Song Girls squad?

A: I would have insulted them for free, instead of making them pay thousands of dollars, but you never want to lose the all-important desert community. I think AARP might be more generous than the NCAA. And I heartily endorse adding those over-40 song girls if we could get rid of some under-50's on the selection committee.

Q: USC has now added JC transfer Fangupo who "could play right away", is toying with playing a 3-4 defense with Fili Moala, E. Griffen and Kyle Moore, and (as seen on some websites) is listing C. Tupou as at least a co-starter with Averill Spicer. In other words, they don't seem to have too much confidence in A. Spicer.what does Spicer think of all this?? He was a pretty big recruit in his own right.

A: Fangupo will not be able to play until 2009. Pete Carroll's never been a fan of the 3-4 and Tupou is a co-starter because Spicer missed spring practice following knee surgery. The position is wide open for training camp but a healthy Spicer is still considered the frontrunner.
