Yay! Always a happy day with the great Oregon cheerleaders. I was getting withdrawal symptoms from the two days or so without anything from our good friends up north.

She's great. Beautiful and very toned. Whatever they're doing up there in Oregon these days, we really need to start copying with the Song Girls, because the gap between the two is growing larger and larger every year.

I am definitely giving the Oregon cheerleaders a standing ovation when they enter the Coliseum this fall.

That is the ideal image of an all-American cheerleader. Even Tricia Pillsbury would be proud of her.

Fight on, Ducks!

See, Oregon knows exactly what to select in a cheerleader -- someone who is toned, pretty and wholesome. They even have these physical requirements for their cheerleaders on their website, while the Song Girls make no mention of any physical standards. So each time I see a picture of one of the amazing Oregon cheerleaders, I get really embarrassed by the USC Song Girls. Believe it or not, we also used to have beautiful and thin cheerleaders up to the 1990s. That now seems like a lifetime ago...

Good job, Scott. It's a daily treat to see the beautiful Oregon cheerleaders. This cheerleader is yet another home run for what is now the top collegiate cheer squad in the country.

Perfect abs + beautiful face = Oregon cheerleaders

Overweight + homely face = USC Song Girls in the 2000s

The Lady Duckettes - partial scholarships, free tutoring, complimentary game tickets for family, booster support - no surprise that a world class, innovative program can produce the epitome of perfection in a collegiate cheerleader. The young lady is not a super-model, it's what she represents....wholesome, toned, fit, athletic, skilled (I presume she can dance her butt off). Bravo, Oregon, bravo! Full Sail beer and the Lady Duckettes!

Nike Money = Good Photoshop Artist

I guess it's cheaper than paying for lipo.

Get those Photoshop tools working - blend the skin, trim the waist and cheeks a little and add shadows to maker her look fit.

Hell, look around the edges of her highlights-airbrushed-in hair boys. It was cut out of a studio glamor shot. She wasn't even standing in front of a football field when it was taken.

Honestly, who cares about some SONG GIRLS. All this talk about SONG GIRLS is stupid. First off she is not that cute. i have seen way pretty girls that are cheerleaders. How about someone post a picture of a thick girl thats cute or even the girl that was seen with Tebow. But this oregon girl, she can kick rocks like everyone else who talks soooo much about SONG GIRLS

I do hope that when fall camp rolls around in August, posts and questions/answers will get back to college sports instead of college wet dreams. The tabloid quality commentary on the Song Girls is getting close to crossing the line into horny nerd teenage boy and dirty old man territory - if you want "reading" materials for the bathroom, buy a Playboy and stop worrying about downloading free pics of football cheerleaders. Also, its one thing for an anonymous poster to call these young women names behind their backs in cyberspace, its another to do it in person with their dad, older brother or mom in striking distance... or better yet the poster's own mom, sister, wife or girlfriend listening in - now that's a sideline show I'd like to see...

Expect the next selection of Song Girls to be an appreciable upgrade. Book it and thank Scotty.

Until actual attractive and thin Song Girls are on the sidelines, I will not feel any retribution for the destruction of the Song Girl legacy.

The women in charge are HEAVILY protected. Unless the athletic dept. is called out for all this corruption, I don't think we're doing anyone any good. It's all about connections. No matter how unattractive or unfit the girl is, if she's well-connected to an insider, she'll make the squad. And it's unfair for the other girls who actually deserve to be on the squad for being beautiful and thin.

For those of you complaining about the lack of football insight on this website recently, you guys do realize you're reading a blog by Scott Wolf, right? A guy who refers to Pete Carroll as Caesar.

Long live posts about our super-sized Song Girls!

Hooray for the girls on the Oregon cheerleading squad! Some of you seem to be missing the point of what makes these girls far better than the USC Song Girls. This Oregon girl, for instance, has a wholesome and clean look to her, combined with a toned body and a pretty face. She is not supposed to be a top fashion model or Hollywood actress. With the USC Song Girls during this past decade, the girls have not had that clean and wholesome look. Far from it. They have often looked sleazy and have acted in such a manner, too, off the field and court. They have also had major weight problems.

So as long as Oregon keeps fielding wholesome and pretty cheerleaders with toned bodies, they will always be above the Song Girls that are chosen to represent USC.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
