Field Logos
Rumor has it that included in the naming rights deal the Coliseum seeks is the provision that the logo of a company will be placed on the playing field on both sides of the 50-yard line. It's already done on NBA courts, like Staples Center, for example.

If we are going to prostitute that sacred field and stadium with some inane company's logo, then let's use the Playboy Bunny symbol. That would be so Hollywood and would really impress our midwest followers.
I'm with you Lawyer John, great call! You get the contract written up on this! Hey, if this does happen, then we can have the "Girls Next Door" become the directors of the Song Girls! Fight On!
This shows you how desperate the Coliseum is to be a NFL stadium.
SW, The new lease agreement states that USC and the Coliseum will jointly seek a naming rights sponsor. Well, exactly who is leading the effort and what's the status? My guess is Steve Lopes and his sales/marketing folks at SC are in charge. Next time you're at HH try sniffing around upstairs in the Nick Pappas Memorial Office and see what's up. And with only 6 home games each year they'll be throwing in a lot more than a logo on the field. No doubt Mr. Lopes and crew are shaking down every SC alum/CEO for the dough. Are you guys ready for "Boskovich Farms Coliseum?" "Riordan, Lewis and Haden Coliseum?" Maybe Jeff Smuylan will kick in on behalf of one of his radio stations and we'll have the "Power 106 Coliseum". And these are just the trustees.
I've got my money on the "Felix Chevrolet Coliseum hooked up by Barry's Ticket's."
