IMHO, best looking Song Girl of all time.

I am all about that. That's a wholesome look we simply don't get with the Song Girls anymore.

God bless the 1980s!

All these pictures of the Song Girls from the past simply highlight how awful the squad has been this past decade. The recent girls are not worthy of the uniform and the women in charge should be ashamed of themselves for allowing the Song Girls to fall into such disrepair.

That said, thank you for this picture, Scott. It's from before my time but I can certainly appreciate Miss Pillsbury and everything she represented.

Fight on!

Best new feature of this blog! I am hoping for anything from 1996 or 1997. That squad was just great and brings back fond memories of the song girls. Boo to anything post-1998.

Ahhhhhhhh...1983. A simpler time during the Cold War when everything was so clear-cut. Hating the Russians was so much easier, the economy was great, and the Song Girls were beautiful and something to be proud of.

I'm cool with that. Even after 25 years, she would not look out of place. Ironically enough, it was in the mid to late 1990s when the Song Girls got big 1980s mall hair!

Now, all the hair and makeup in the world won't hide the fact of how ugly the Song Girls are.

The Song Girls used to be classic and timeless. These old photos from the days of yore make the current squad look like very cheap knock-offs. Where did it all go wrong!?!?

The current girls enjoy the legacy left behind by the old Song Girls but they aren't pulling their weight. Compared to the old Song Girls, the current squad is like a wolf in sheep's clothing. It's like the current coach/advisor just walked up and down Figueroa trying to find unsuspecting girls to join the squad and drizzled them with pounds and pounds of make-up.

Voodoo, nicely said! Fight On!

And in the meantime, one of the current Song Girls just ate some waffles, stuck her finger down her throat, threw up, and went binge drinking with some football players in a back alley...

This is probably old news for most of you but here is a nice site where you can browse lots of USC Song Girls pictures.

The ironic thing about all of this is that I'd be willing to bet that 95% of the people commenting on how "fat and ugly" the song girls are, probably would have no chance at getting with any song girl from any year (that includes you Wolf). You sit there and rip on the song girls, yet most of you are probably overweight and balding. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

Adding insult to injury, have you all checked out this week's Sports Illustrated Cheerleader of the Week?

DAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We haven't had a Song Girl of that caliber this decade.

Ouch! xlx, that is like pouring rubbing alcohol into a freshly opened wound. Bruin Elise is reminiscent of the tradition of the SGs. She would look spectacular in the cardinal and gold. Too bad that our adminstration has established a process that no longer emphasizes athleticism, fitness, or beauty on the SG squad. I don't blame the girls who are working their butts off to make us proud. I blame the administration for allowing cronyism, nepotism, and political pandering to tear down the institution that serves as the face of our university. Scott, please keep posting more golden age beauties like Ms Pillsbury!

Wow, that UCLA Dance Team Member Elise really beats the pants off of any of the Song Girls. Did you check out that other UCLA song girl, Kristle from the SI article. That's what we should be recruiting for Song Girls...that All American blonde look.

They also did another hot UCLA girl a few months ago.

VERY HOT BLONDE this time (for all of you who prefer blondes).

I can't believe the level of hot girls they got over there for their squad. I wouldn't want them in the same room as the Song Girls because it would just be too shameful.

One thing is for sure, we have got to improve our squad.

I would gladly trade all the Song Girls from this past decade for either one of these 2 girls. I love their strategically cut dresses.
