Yes, because that bodes well for the other schools...great approach to recruiting guys. Let me see if I can break this process down:
1. Don't do and of your own leg work - let PC do it for you. Why not let the best find the talent?
2. Wait till USC discovers a kid, researches his background & skills, offers him and has him commit.
3. Scramble to offer the same kid after USC secures his committment - because kids love to know they weren't even on your radar till the best program in the conference came calling.
4. Try to talk the kid into leaving the runaway best program in the conference to join your program that not only doesn't win but also didn't care for him till USC did.
5. Rinse, repeat.
Brilliant.
Way to go Pac-10 coaches you're really putting in the work necessary to bump USC off the pedestal they've been occupying for the last 6 years. At this rate why don't you just stand outside Heritage Hall with a bell and a bucket and beg for scraps?!
