Moore Commits

Narbonne wide receiver Byron Moore got plenty of attention from USC's coaches last week and he followed by decommitting from UCLA and says he will attend USC.
The significance of this to me is that Rick Neuheisel is not exactly tearing it up in recruiting so far, especially given his reputation at Colorado and Washington. And it appears UCLA misses former assistant coach Eric Scott because USC is now back in business in the Los Angeles City Section for recruits after getting steamrollered last year.

Well apparently Slick Rick Neu-weasel has forgotten the nuances of recruiting. You know, here's a free entry in to my "neighborhood pool", and I'll guarantee you that you will win the pool (wink, wink). Fight On!

There has to be a typo somewhere in this story, right? I mean, this can't actually be a positive article written by Scott Wolf on the Trjans, can it? Must be someone filling in for him during this holiday week. That's it. Like maybe a monkey jumping on the keyboard.

I have to say this also, SW I'm surprised at the tone of this story. You actually sound happy about FUCLA and Slick Rick falling down on this recruit, and "pro" PC for being able to land Moore. What's up with you, are you all right? Fight On!

I was thinking the same thing. SC is doing so well SW's negative remarks are getting less and less. He still sucks at his job though!

What happened to Eric Scott?

Scott Wolf did not write this. IMO

Good choice by Byron Moore! He sure looked great at the Camp!

Is he any relation to Manfred or Kenny Moore who also played at USC and came from LA City Schools?

"steamrollered"

Let's look at who UCLA signed from "Los Angeles City Section" "last year":

Milton Knox (Birmingham)
Jerry Johnson (Venice)
Donovan Carter (Birmingham)
Rahim Moore (Dorsey)
Johnathan Franklin (Dorsey)

So 5 kids.

How many of those five did USC offer? One: Rahim Moore.

So you heard it here first:

Rahim Moore = "steamrollered"

Scott must have been for Germany...this post is not like him...must be too distraught to know what he's writing...not enough snide remarks and put downs in it for USC..

Don't worry though...he'll be back with an attack on the program, he'll recover...he doesn't want to be a lackey for the program like all the internet geeks are...

Scottie my boy, with this type of positive outlook on things youre well on your way to being commissioned to write letters to prospective recruits.

If you don't watch out, you might be getting a call from MG sooner than you think...

As was noted earlier Scott just couldn't go the entire entry without a shot at SC, "steamrolled" in the LA City section ? Well documented that Rahim Moore was the only true miss, how unusual that SW didn't do his homework.

Make no doubt about it though, and don't want to be labeled a hater, but Rahim Moore was a miss. TJ Bryant saved the class, but we really needed a 4 star, big body safety type last year. I was really scratching my head wondering how the Bru-Cru got a guy that was such a need position for us in our own back yard. But, not worries, TJ Mac II would have beat him out anyway.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
