That is one damn good looking group of girls. I would trade the Song Girls from these past few years for the Oregon cheerleaders in a heartbeat.

Great look by some very pretty girls. When I compare the USC Song to these girls, I get so embarrassed by what has happened to the Song Girls this decade. The gap between what Oregon has and what USC puts out is so wide now, I just don't think we can ever get back to what we once had. Now maybe if we brought Dolly Rouse back...

You're killing me here, Scott. With each picture you post of the Oregon cheerleaders, I feel like joining their booster group and cutting off all ties to SC! You're definitely on a roll today - first, the Celeste Fremon article and now another great picture of our favorite Oregon cheerleaders. They come in such quick succession, I can't even catch my breath. Your hits must be going through the roof these days.

More proof that the Oregon cheerleaders are beautiful and thin, with great cheerleader figures. They deserve all the accolades they get.

Meanwhile, the USC Song Girls of the 2000s are holding a competition to see who can eat most like an elephant and if there really is no such a thing as "too much makeup" on their faces.

Best cheerleaders in the USA. They make me proud to be an American on this upcoming Independence Day. But I'm also somewhat disappointed in being a Trojan considering what the Song Girls now are ans will be representing on the 4th of July on Catalina Island.

I am SO going to check out their pregame show when we play them at the Coliseum this season! They are just amazing. I think the highlight of the USC football season will be when the Oregon cheerleaders come to the Coliseum. They are the best of the best.

They are so adorable. These cheerleaders from Oregon are everything that we should want in our own Song Girls. Very wholesome, pretty, fit bodies. I can't say enough good things about these girls from Oregon. Whatever they are doing up there, they are doing something right.

Where is Lawyer John telling us how average-to-ugly these girls are?

I graduated from SC in 2005 and I can tell you all that we did NOT have Song Girls that looked like any of these girls the entire time I was a student. Not even close. These are some HOT girls and this is a great picture.

They have to be great looking to take the attention away from their mediocre football teams, over the years, and the ugliest uniforms in CFB. USC sports fans should be jealous of Oregon's beautiful campus, and athletic facilities, not their cheerleaders.

Damn it, while I am blown away and thoroughly impressed by the Oregon cheerleaders, it also makes me so angry at just how pathetic the Song Girls have been this past decade. We should have had girls like these, not the plus-sized uggos that wore the white sweater and destroyed the legacy that the 200+ Song Girls from the 1960s to 1990s worked so hard to achieve.

Anyway, good picture, Scott. Hopefully it makes the two women in charge of the Song Girls feel the pressure of what the other Pac-10 schools have these days and gets them to reconsider the criteria for the next squad.

Fantastic! The Lady Duckettes have clearly stolen "The Look" that the great Dolly Rouse used as her metric for judging whether or not a girl was worthy of the SG uniform back in the 80s and 90s. Love the eye black. Fun, sassy, cute, classy, hubba, hubba. Bring back, Dolly!

The girl that was featured the other day is the one at the top, 2nd from the right. Now that she is not smiling she is not quite as cute. Nothing lies like pictures.

And, Scott, wake me up when you decide to drop the girls and bring back the (SC sports) boys.

Having attended USC for 4 years, I can personally attest to seeing firsthand the general quality of female form and figure that roams the campus. Never in my life have I seen such a large grouping of absolutely gorgeous broads in one central location...perhaps second only to the Playboy mansion!

The Song Girls are FAR BELOW AVERAGE for the student body.

And don't give me this crap about those girls having dance/gymnastic/tumbling/whatever skills greater than everyone else. Lets be honest, SG's only have to kick in time and shake their booty; no Olympic qualifications needed.

One of two things is happening:
1. This is the very best that's trying out (highly unlikely); or
2. Wealthy/powerful Daddy alumni are doing what needs to be done to get their little girls on the squad.

But for my final 2-cents worth on this subject, what is this fascination certain bloggers have with teen-age girls? Geez.

Lawyer John, last I heard, 18 and 19 year old girls were legal. When they start allowing 14 and 15 year olds to become Song Leaders, then I will stop looking at pictures of them. Try not to be so sanctimonious.

If you want to see girls who are chosen strictly for their looks, then go to a laker or raider game. These girls (the usc song girls) are not professionals. Why don't you guys (and your boy SW) go down to your local strip club, make it rain, pour champagne and then come back to this blog and realize that these are "normal" girls on the song team. Get off it already. You guys sound so ignorant. Go buy the first season of baywatch or something and move on. Beauty is more than a blonde head and blue eyes (and boobs). wake up/grow up. Fight on.
