Rowe Dismissed
USC fullback Alfred Rowe was dismissed from the university because of poor academic performance. Rowe will meet with Carroll today to see if he can attempt to re-enroll for the 2009-2010 school year.
He will not be able to return this fall under any circumstances. He is the second player to be dismissed this year, following cornerback Vincent Joseph, who was his teammate at Long Beach Poly.
Rowe, the older brother of Oregon defensive lineman Kenny Rowe, sat out spring practice to concentrate on academics.

Another Long Beach Poly to USC Bust that makes Rowe, Joseph, Justice, and Dennis.
I feel bad for the kid unlike Bradford, Green, and Tyler he moved over to fullback to help the team. Unlike the other players who want stats he was about winning. Hope he and Vincent Joseph can renroll here. Both were great players who were hindered by injuries and academics.
Don't forget Manual Wright as yet one more Long Beach Poly flop.
Its really to bad for both Rowe and Joseph. Both are good kids, but you have to wonder why these students/athletes coming from LB Poly are having problems translating their H.S. success to the college level? I hope for the best for both of them and may be both can rejoin the Trojan family in 09. Fight On!
I don't think "bust" is fair for Herschel Dennis - the starting tailback until he blew out his knee - and I'd argue it's a little strong for Winston Justice, but my main point is you can't do a roll call of disappointments from Poly without including No. 1 (er, 20), Darnell Bing.
Aside from the Auburn game his freshman year, Bing's impact come nowhere near the expectations.
Bing had the game-saving interception at the goal line against Fresno St.
