About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Congrats to UCI.
Fullerton finally outlasted UCLA tonight to set up the
showdown tomorrow night. The winner advances to take on the Pepperdine-Stanford winner in the Supers.
What's with UCLA's laboriously slow defensive game in baseball. Seems like Bruin ocach John Savage goes through an elaborate series of signs to call every single pitch. Just for a fastball away it takes 2 minutes to call?
I figured since Mr. Wolf won't let it go I'll repost my earlier research on Coach Gillespie's last four years at SC and ask the question what was the athletic dept. supposed to do? The slide into mediocrity is on Gillespie's watch.
Gillespie's last four seasons were 28-28 (11-13), 24-32 (11-13), 41-22 (15-9) eliminated by NC Oregon St. in the super regional, and 25-33 (11-13).
That's two losing seasons (three in the Pac 10), one .500 season and one playoff appearance. If Scott had this blog back then he's be calling for Gillespie's head.
and Gillespie has taken a team with less talent from last year's CWS team to the Super Regional....
maybe you can do more research Bruce so you can understand why you have no clue about college baseball....
