Some More Answers

Here’s a couple more answers.

Q: It is well established at this point that the USC Song Girls are certainly no longer the top cheerleaders in the country which they were considered up to the 1990s, but where do you think they rank compared to the other Pac-10 cheerleaders? It’s well known that Oregon has the most beautiful cheerleaders in the Pac-10, perhaps even the country, and UCLA’s dance team (or whatever they are called) are also far more attractive that the Song Girls. Having said that, I can’t imagine that even as bad as the Song Girls have been this decade, they would be worse that the Stanford Dollies or Cal cheerleaders, so where would you rank them overall among Pac-10 cheerleaders? I am guessing fourth, which would include the now-disbanded Arizona State cheerleaders, or even maybe fifth if Arizona has attractive cheerleaders as I suspect they would do.

A: I have not studied this properly but off the top of my head, it would be UCLA, Oregon, Arizona State, Arizona, USC, Washington State, Oregon State, Washington, Cal, Stanford.

Q: Seems like everyone is talking about officiating these days. In football games vs UCLA, what was the worst call going in UCLA’s favor against the Trojans that you recall?

A: I wish you had asked Notre Dame instead, when I could mention the infamous spot in the 1989 game or some egregious calls in the 1991 game at South Bend, when USC recovered an onside-kick and it was awarded to Notre Dame, etc. I’ll let readers tackle the UCLA question, because I can only remember how upset the Bruins were after the 1987 catch, there were a couple controversial pass interference penalties against UCLA (1964, 1975, I think) that led to USC victories.
