Watch Out Weis?
Notre Dame athletic director Kevin White left for Duke on Saturday. Why? He was essentially a powerless athletic director. Notre Dame's board of trustees fired Ty Willingham and then ordered a 10-year contract for Charlie Weis only seven games into his tenure.
The new athletic director will no doubt assert his own authority and want to make their own decisions. So that could be bad news for Weis, especially with fan support at an all-time low after last season.

I think this question pretty much descibes some of the Song Girl issues.
Q: While some people are attributing the increasing problems of the Song Girls to the coach, isn't the read problem more to do with ADVISOR to the Song Girls? Let's see, she's a middle-aged woman who recently had a child out of wedlock with a certain basketball coach who immediately moved thousands of miles away, yet she is still one of at least three "girlfriends" that he has. Do we really need someone like that to be in charge of the Song Girls and exert her questionable values and influence on these young ladies? Is there not a morality clause that could prevent this woman from having anything to do with the Song Girls?
A: Couldn't have put it better myself.
SW, I'm not sure that you are correct when you are saying that a "new AD will assert his own authority". Again, it come will down to the "BOT" for the sisters of overrated, and how much dictation they will continue to force. But all in all, who really cares. After all, this is the sisters of "we'll kiss NBC rear, while the NCAA will kiss our rear", and anything that happens to that craphead "U", then so be it. Don't you just love that lead paint on that "pee-golden dome". Fight On!
Our song girls are still better than ND's football team.
OK I see KPtrojan is a man after my own heart..
as far as that crap university in south bend is concerned..who cares. I want them to keep fatty there so we can continue to make them look bad on national TV. Everything about the whole "ND experience" makes me want to vomit..from their arrogant, jerk fans to their puke green uniforms. And of course, they will tell you that I am just "jealous of their great football history". hahaha
blow the whole place off the face of their earth and do us a favor......

I think Weis gets one more year to make something out of the program and if not, the boot. RickyIrvins has a point - keeping Charlie around pretty much guarantees that our guys will look spectacular on national TV, at a time usually crucial for Heisman and other award voting as well as the BCS lineup. Why mess with a good thing?
Fan support at an all-time low? Is that why ND's site doesn't even list the 2007 season results?
