The Pac 10 is poor that why they do not want others to play in Rose Bowl and only want Pac 10 vs. Big Ten. Also they do not want a playoff. Also, besides from USC, Oregon, and three out of the mid teams(UCLA, California, Arizona State, Washington, and Oregon State) there is no constant big name yearly to attract fans like Florida, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, and Tenesesess.

That's why the Pac 10 does not have a network since there are no teams to watch, also football is not a year round sport on the West Coast thats the main draw.
Image next on the Pac 10 Network:
Law and Order: The OJ Mayo Case,
House: How Oregon will spend nonstop to field good Sports Teams, with no results.
According to Jim: Jim Harbroughs story on how he beat USC
90120: Slock Ricks new home after leaving UCLA after another rough job

I know tons of people who would watch sports besides Pac 10 Football, I think what is missed is how many Pac 10 schools have contracts with Fox Sports, formerly Prime Ticket, etc...there are numerous shows that are on those networks about both USC and UCLA and the Northwest schools are on Fox Sports Northwest, the Bay Area has a Fox Sports and there is Fox Sports Southwest or Arizona...So, in essence the Pac 10 has 4 or 5 sub-networks within one Network (Fox), but the true travesty is that not one of those channels is as dedicated to ALL Pac-10 sports. Try to watch a swim meet or a track event, only the big ones make it to the network.
Bottom line, $$$$ Talks.

I agree Cheat. The SEC combined has a far, far smaller fan base to draw from and economic demographics that are as bad as you can get. On top of that the ACC draws fans (and players) not only from the SEC but from the urban and affluent areas. And still, by population they have more pro teams in the area than we do.
The SEC however wants to make money whereas many of the presidents of the PAC 10 see big time athletics as an imposition.
As for the comment about Arkansas, Alabama and Tennessee- what about them??? They are states? They are schools? What? They sure aren't a better product than PAC 10 football. But that 12 team & a conf champ game and assured wins against punching bags keeps them in the hunt and the television contracts and bowl tie ins make it much more rewarding (or at least possible) to follow mediocre SEC teams than PAC 10 teams.
