Answer Friday, Part 7
What position will be the greatest concern for 2008?
Q: There has been doubts about USC's fullback, quarterback punter, defensive back and offensive line and wide receiver. What one position is a weakness on the USC football that will stop or prevent it it from winning the National Championship?
A: I think the key will be the offensive line. If it improves, USC should be fine. But if it struggles, there will be no run for the national championship.
Q: With many tailback back recently starring at USC people forget about Malaefou MacKenzie and Sultan McCullough, who were the running backs before Reggie Bush and LenDale White. How are both MacKenzie and McCullough doing now?
A: I'm not sure what Malaefou MacKenzie is up to these days but I believe he lives in Southern California. Sultan McCullough is still trying to play football. He works out at USC every now and then and showed up at Pro Day and ran the 40.

Malaefou is a fire fighter in Orange County. I play bball with him at the gym. Guy is still an amazing athlete.
Thanks fighton. That is cool. I hope Malaefou is happy in life. He was one of those sad stories of a fantastically talented baller taken down by the god of unfair, debilitating, chronic football injuries. Hopefully, he is doing well and will be better off in middle age as many NFL'ers crash once they leave the league with no real world skills or sense or reality. Also, Scott nails it on Q#1. It all comes down to the O-line, how quickly they gel, how well they perform, injuries, etc. If the O-line performs decent or better, we can go all the way. If they underachieve, so does the team.
