OK, break time is over. Back to the answer grind.
Q: Why haven't you apologized for jumping the gun on Alex Stepheson's situation?
A: What should I apologize for? I reported that he informed USC he would transfer there. His mother denied it. I never said she told USC anything. She has been very quiet about where her son will play. That is her right. It is also my right to inform the readers what has taken place behind the scenes. As I wrote in the story, Stepheson could change his mind because he is not required to sign anything when he transfers officially. But I also know what has been communicated to USC recently. Things could change, but that's where they stand right now.
Q: Howard Cosell gained fame and fortune due to his work on Monday Night Football, and also his extended and unmatched relationship with boxing great Muhammad Ali.
What current sports TV forum would be perfect to amplify and showcase the many multimedia gifts of Scott Wolf? Which USC athlete do you see yourself forging a special business and personal relationship with for many years? One that benefits both you and the athlete in publicity and mutual admiration?
A: Perhaps it will be Mitch Mustain. That was the original intent of ``Mitch and Me'' before we got supplanted by Song Girlgate.
Q: I have a solution to the transparency issue regarding Song Girl Gate and the Athletic Department's obsession with squeezing out every last dollar from the fan base...open the Song Girl tryouts to the public and charge $10.00 for admission. Bam! How's that for creative marketing and public relations! The Athletic Department could print up some commemorative t-shirts (size XXL and larger, of course) and sell them to rabid fans in attendance. Boom! Mo Money, Mo Money, Mo Money!
A: If they get the soft-serve machine at the Galen Center to work, then we'd really been in business.

With Lute Olson's public declaration on recruiting - "It's a situation now that if someone's a 'one-and-done,' we're not going to pursue them anymore, no way," ... Do you think other Pac-10 coaches will soon follow?
