Better than Bush
Reggie who?
Pete Carroll praised Joe McKnight for having the ability to do it all out of the backfield. And he does something even better than Bush.
``Joe McKnight has gained 20 pounds since he showed up a year ago,'' Carroll said. ``He's a big-play tailback who can catch the ball out of the backfield and line up as a receiver. He runs routes as a receiver better than Reggie did.''

Jill,
Any info on how many times Pete used the words pumped, psyched and jacked today?
Jill, you are a better blogger than SW
The title of this post is misleading. Coach said that Joe ran better routes than Reggie, period. Superiority running up the middle, getting to the outside, making the catch, and running after the catch still belongs to Reggie, who may have been the greatest all-around back in college history.
Joe has a ways to go, but he does not have to be as good as Reggie to be great.
And lets not forget that Reggie had great hands.. That catch at ASU, although disallowed by blind ref's, was rad!
Until Joe Mcknight does something other than fumble or lose 5 yards on a pitch out I don't want to hear any comparisons to reggie bush
How about putting up 206 all purpose yards in the Rose Bowl? Will that do?
So long as Joe remembers not to try to lateral 10 yards from the end zone to a player who never caught a pass, in the national championship game, he is at least as good as Reggie. Can't compare apples and oranges anyway, Joe will find and display his own brand of magic I think. Fight On!
